It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night,
anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.
Psalms 127:2 (NLT)
Working out of your flesh will kill you. God wants you to be effective. But, to be effective you need two things 1) God's Grace and 2) a winning mindset.
Over the last few years, I have been focused on leadership development and training. It has been an amazing journey. I have learned many things about myself and how the human mind works.
In one of the seminars I gave on personal development and growth, I presented this table of comparison. These are the differences between the mindsets of the way people approach their lives and careers.
There are effectively four types of attitudes: 1) Employees, 2) Managers, 3) Leaders and 4) Investors.
About the job
Dependant upon a system someone else created
It’s about me
They are consumers
About the company
Managing a system someone else created
It’s about them
They are savers
About the people and systems
Creating the systems
It’s about us
They are givers
Own the system
It’s about everyone
They are multipliers
Take some time this week and reflect upon these three questions:
1) What attitude am I reflecting in my daily activities?
2) On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do I want to move to the next level of thinking?
3) What are the three things I need to implement immediately to be able to achieve this?
